International Literacy Day

We will be at the Ferrari Center, 107 W. Rampart, on May 3 from 12-3pm for International Literacy Day.

Destination College Week

We will be issuing library cards and distributing information about homework help servies at Big Brothers/Big Sisters' Destination College Week, at Cafe College, 131 El Paso, on Apr. 30 and May 1 from 5-8pm.

Express-News Job Fair

We'll be at Wonderland Mall on Aug. 6 and Oct. 29 for the Express-News Job Fair.

Senior Fiesta

We'll have a library card sign-up at Senior Fiesta on Apr. 25, 9am -1pm at Wonderland Mall.

Langley

We will have an information table at Langley Elementary's 5K Run on Mar. 2, 8-10:30 a.m. 

Dare to Read

Dare to Read, our book club for adults who are learning to speak English, starts its new season.  Our club will meet every Wednesday, beginning Feb. 6 and ending Mar. 27.  The club meets at the Ferrari Learning Center, 107 W. Rampart, at 11:30am. 

If you are learning to speak English, or if you know someone who is, join us!  We will be reading books that are designed for English-language students.  We will bring the books to the meetings; you need only to bring your library card to borrow the books from us. 

Five in Five

If you're age 18 or over, we challenge you to bring reading back into your life and be a reading role model!  From Jan. 3 through May 31, we're throwing down the gauntlet with "5 in 5," our adult reading program:  read any 5 (yes, any 5, any language, any length, any format--ebooks, print books, audiobooks).  Then bring your reading list in to any of the participating libraries to receive a commemorative bookmark.
