Dare to Read Advanced Club

The club members have spoken! The Dare to Read Advanced Club will have one more meeting at its current time, noon-1pm, on February 28. After that, we're changing times to better accommodate our members' schedules.

Beginning in March, we'll be moving the start time for the Dare to Read Advanced Club to 2pm. We'll still be meeting at the Ferrari Center, 107 W. Rampart.

Dare to Read Easy Club

The Dare to Read Easy Club now meets every Tuesday from 11am-noon at the Ferrari Center, 107 W. Rampart. You can join at any time! Right now the club is reading The Butler Did It and having a lot of fun with that book. If you are learning English, please join us.

In future weeks, the Easy Club will also read The Wizard of Oz, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Red Dog, The Phantom of the Opera,and The Meaning of Gifts.

Dare to Read

If you're learning English, join the club! Dare to Read is a book club for adults who are learning English. We have an Easy Club and an Advanced Club. The Easy Club reads books that require a knowledge of 400 English words. The Advanced Club reads books that require a knowledge of 1,000 English words. If you're not sure which club is right for you, try them both! You'll be reading great books and making new friends from all over the world.

The next meeting of the Advanced Club will be this coming Tuesday, Feb. 14. We will start reading The Secret Garden and finish it on Feb. 28. The Secret Garden is about three children who discover a hidden flower garden where magic happens.

The next meeting of the Easy Club will be Feb. 21.

The clubs meet from noon-1pm at the Ferrari Center (107 W. Rampart).

We will bring the books with us for you to borrow; you need only bring your library card.
